Hand Up Partners

Please consider donating to Hand Up Partners, a new partnership in the “My People Clean Up”

program for homeless individuals in Lancaster, PA, that I started in April 2023. The program

offers a $20 a day stipend to individuals who clean designated parks, community areas, and ​

The results thus far have been extremely positive, both for my cleaners and the communities

they have transformed. To date we’ve paid out over $55,000 in stipends provided solely by

private donations. We deduct no overhead— every penny you donate goes directly to the

project.

Presently we are cleaning five parks: Linear, Brandon, Binn’s , Reservoir, and Culliton, as well as

three blocks of Water St., the 200 block of S. Queen St., and the area around The Food Hub at a

the cost of only $1,120 a week.

We also do group clean-ups of entire neighborhoods. So many more of our homeless friends

would love to have this opportunity to be productive in the community, and so many more

communities would benefit from their efforts.
