Hanbury Recreation Ground and Play Area Project
Donation protected
Great news!
Hanbury Recreation and Play Area project.
Funding of £145,000 from Wychavon’s Community Legacy Fund has been awarded to help meet the total project cost of £177,000.
A requirement of the grant is that part of the cost is raised by the community. We have already raised £25,600 thanks to Hanbury Parish Council and the generosity of several parishioners, following our last appeal in the Hanbury Herald.
We therefore need to raise a further £6,400 in the next month for the project to happen.
We are appealing to you all to support this wonderful opportunity.
Please help us today by donating whatever you can.
The proposed plan includes a new dedicated teenagers’ play space with MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) with a basketball hoop, infant and junior zoned areas which include loved and many new pieces of equipment, and a covered seating area. On the Rec, we plan to extend the sturdy pathway all the way around the recreation ground as well as install some donated pieces of adult exercise equipment.
Thank you so much if you are able to help, it is really appreciated and will make a genuinely positive contribution for our community.
