My name is Hammam Yasser, I am 23 years old, and I live with my family in tents in Al-Mawasi, Gaza.

Life here is almost unbearable. Every day is a struggle to survive. Our tent does not protect us from the scorching heat of summer or the freezing cold of winter. Water is extremely scarce and unsafe, and there is no electricity at all.

Because of the war, we were forced to leave our home and all the belongings that once gave us comfort, privacy, and dignity. Now we live in ruins, struggling to survive in conditions no human should endure.

We face hunger often, sleep is restless due to the cold, heat, and strong winds, and every day feels unsafe in our fragile tents. My father and brother suffer from chronic illnesses, which makes every challenge even harder.

I study Software Engineering at the university with my three siblings, but tuition fees and the lack of resources make it almost impossible for us to continue. Our biggest dreams seem out of reach while we try to survive day by day.

I also have a small cat who depends on me. She is part of our family, but I struggle to provide her with food, clean water, and a safe place to stay. Any help to care for her would mean the world — even a little food or supplies can make a huge difference.

My greatest hope is simple yet life-changing: to have a laptop to continue my studies, a small energy system to power it, and enough support to keep my cat safe and fed. Every donation, no matter how small, brings light into our dark reality and gives us hope.
