Aanii, My name is Marjorie Henry my roots come from Kettle & Stony Point First Nation & Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. I am a middle child and youngest daughter to the late Jack Henry Baa, and the second oldest to Selena Greenbird. Very grateful to have grow up with all my siblings and family. My Dad having two boys before meeting my Mom and then going on to have 5 children. With that said, came lots of nieces and nephews. Great nieces and nephews. The family getting bigger, also gets smaller.. most of us don't live in our home community. We are all off reserve and in different cites and at time province's. I tend to travel because I don't have a home to go to. I find my home in places and people. Got my heart broken, happened to drive and some time in BC. While away still paid for my car and insurance for my family. The kids need a car to get to school, for food, for all around living and enjoying life. Our little family needed a home and we needed a car. So found a way for us to have both. We all don't live in the same place and it's so hard for all of us to even been together. Would do my best to make sure my nieces and nephews would have something to get where they need to go. Most times after paying all my bills would have just enough to get what I needed.

Spirit called me home, the family bell was ringing. When I came home, our Brother Jordan Henry Baa passed. My family needed me in all different ways. Wasn't working, wasn't able to keep up with my bills. Christmas was a struggle. When they say your presences is a present they don't lie. My Dad was in the hospital since November. Health holding on and still declining. Our Jack Henry Baa made his journey home with our Brother. Now.. we have to keep living. Sitting in this sadness and hurt that I've sat with people before. Helping in ways I could, for those grieving. To be the ones who sits with this loss. Just taking things as they come. Then reality hits.. life hasn't stopped. Just like all the bills and overwhelming feeling of things are going to be taken away.

Yet, my family needed me so much in this time I couldn't work and lost control of all my bills. My car is about to be taking away, need new insurance. The car even still needs to be fixed. Phone cut off, credit card debts. Just feel that the list goes on of things that needs to be paid and flies coming out of our pockets. That car isn't just mine, it was the kids car. To pick up my Brothers and his family. To go be there for when someone needs it. To ride in the wind with my Dad looking for a spot. Keep praying for guidance on what to do next. Even writing this, was difficult. There's so many sad things that are happening around the world... but to sit here and ask for help... asking if people would be willing to hamburger help me and my family get back on the road.
