We're joining in by matching donations with our own stock - turning your generosity into £1000 worth of help for University Hospitals Play Service. Lets make a difference together.
My Name is Kevin Sproston, I run a food collective CIC in Plymouth called 'The Bridge'. Our main mission statement is 'To ensure more and better food is available for organisations who are supporting communities to become more food resilient' . We achieve this by supporting our members by providing a service where they can purchase quality bulk supplies for their organisations without resorting to retail prices.
We are currently looking at fundraising to provide University Hospital Plymouth with sweet stock to help their patients and families over the halloween period.
Play is vital to the continued development of children and young people. From the earliest age play helps children to learn, to make friends and develop relationships, and to have fun. The play service is invaluable to families, I personally find it important because when children and young people are admitted to hospital they are often at their most vulnerable. Play helps them to adjust to a potentially stressful situation. Play can really make a difference. The staff are continually striving to make the hospital experience as fun as possible for all their young patients.
All funds raised will be matched by The Bridge.
