Half marathon fundraiser for James Pilkington

Hi everyone thank you for taking time to visit our gofundme page.

My name is Gavin ,

myself and a group of friends John, micheal,James,Billy have organised to take part in a half marathon to raise funds for james and his family.

as most of you may already know Our friend james Pilkington was diagnosed in December 2024 with a brain tumour to find out in the first week of January 2025 It was a incurable grade 4 Glioblastoma giving him a life expectancy of 12-18 month.

As you can imagine this news is is painfully devastating for him and his family and Friends .

James is only 42 years old with 5 children .

he’s a Popular well know Lad within our Bierley community.

His time now is precious and we just want to raise as much funds as possible for James and his family to help them create lasting memories .

If anyone would like to join in on the half marathon your more than welcome .

It will take place on Saturday 5th April at 11am arriving back around approx 1.30pm

Leaving St John’s school entrance on the Dawson Lane side . Running down Ferrand ave making our way to the Euro way trading estate onto the green Lane to a halfway marker point and then returning back to St John’s School entrance on the Dawson lane side
