Half Marathon for KOSF Military outreach

One of my best friends and I are running a half marathon on November 13th and raising money for Marine Families outreach program KOSF.

We are running this half marathon with the intention of each mile being in honor of the military members and their families; past, present, and future - and for all the sacrifices they have made.

Running with a purpose is so important to me and giving back and making people smile is my passion - Marine Families and KOSF do just that by giving back to so many military families in Tampa Bay.

My goal is to run this half marathon and raise $3,000 to give back to this organization. If I raise $5,000 we will sign up for another half marathon and give back to the same organization. If we are able to raise $10,000 we are both signing up for a FULL MARATHON and documenting the journey.

Each step and every inch of our smiles holds so many military members, and their families with love and encouragement. We are running for those who have served in the past, in the present, in the future, and also for those who didn’t make it home from serving.

The military and this organization are so important to my heart and I cannot wait to run this with my best friend and for such a wonderful purpose!

More information about Marine Families: Marine Families was an idea born from 7 "newbie" Marine parents who were preparing to send their sons/daughters to war. Needing the support of others who understood what they were going through, a monthly "muster" was established to offer a time of support and fellowship. During the years that followed the vision grew, as did our outreach, and we evolved into an organization serving a variety of needs to military and veteran families locally, throughout the US and across the globe.
