I'm completing a half IRONMAN on May 17th, in honor of TOMMY MARK, my soccer teammate and best friend.

Tommy was the type to be smiling at all times. I remember arriving at our first LA Galaxy training (extremely nervous), while Tommy arrived jumping in joy, ready to ball out. He would dance around players like it was nothing. To this day, I aim to embody this ability to enjoy even the hardest and most stressful situations.

To honor his legacy, I’m raising money for the TM23 Foundation. Tommy’s parents, Nikki and Doug Mark, have had an incredible impact on the LA community, and their work has deeply inspired the kind of impact I hope to have in my own communities.

This foundation works to develop and support initiatives that inspire children and young adults to play, pursue their dreams, be themselves, and have a positive impact on their community. Tommy's love for soccer became an inspiration to develop multi-purpose athletic fields in his name. “Tommy’s Fields” are for everyone and a place where Tommy and his passion for soccer and all sports will always be remembered.

Every donation goes directly toward building and maintaining these fields, as well as supporting programs and events that bring communities together through sport

On Race day (May 17th), I’ll be swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles, and running 13.1 miles. The 5-month training journey has transformed my life, driven by my goal to inspire and honor those who can't. Honoring Tommy has been my ‘why,’ the same way it was throughout my soccer career and will continue to be throughout my life.
