Hello, my name is Jessica, & I started the fundraiser to raise money for my best friend & her family after the loss of their home of 20+ years My friend Nikki is a fellow member of the Union Grove Fire Department, & has been serving the community for 10 years. She lived in the home with her mom & dad, Mike & Mary , & her sister, Shelby. They have two dogs , rebel & thor; & two turtles. Thankfully everyone including pets made it out safely. Unfortunately the house is destroyed & there’s a long journey ahead of them. They were able to save most of their clothes & items from the basement, but all of the household living area & kitchen items, as well as things from the garage were destroyed. This is just a small amount to help them with living expenses while they navigate the next steps in their lives. Thank you everyone for your support for this family!

UPDATE:

The Halbur’s have been living in a temporary house until their house is rebuilt, which has an estimated date to be done into early Spring of 2024. Upon request from friends of the family, I have extended the goal for the fundraiser to help with the extra finances for the family when they first move into the rebuilt home. Thank you!
