Hakeem Jr.'s NICU journey

Hi, my name is Kristine and on August 11, 2022 my brother (Hakeem) and his wife (Marissa) welcomed their sweet little baby Hakeem Jr. into the world. Hakeem Jr. was born at only 24 weeks of gestation and will be in the NICU at Tacoma General Hospital for the first several months of his life. My brother will be missing considerable amounts of work spending as much time as possible in the hospital with his baby. Marissa had an emergency c-section and is now recovering from major surgery while dealing with the stress that comes along with having a baby in the NICU. We are hoping to raise some funds to help with hotel stays near the hospital as they live about 40 minutes away and obviously want to be much closer to the baby at all times. Funds will also be used to help with meals, gas, or other basic necessities while Hakeem Jr. is in the hospital - we are hoping to help ease the financial burden so that his parents can focus just on him and his recovery. Any amount big or small helps and prayers for our little fighter are also very much welcomed and appreciated!
