Haitian Schoolteacher One Year Salary

Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference? In Leogane, Haiti, an elementary school teacher at a school we visited, College Chretein Emmanuel makes about $2,000 per year. The problem is, this school doesn't have enough money to pay its teachers. This means that the students won't have qualified teachers to help them get a rich education. These kids deserve to learn just as much as any American kid. Raising this money will help many Haitian children get a better education and teach us the power of teamwork.

College Chretein Emmanuel teaches kids grades 1-8. The school is well-built and organized. The vice principal seems professional. Underneath this though, are beautiful, talented kids who don't have enough support. Haiti is a very poor country, and the only way to successfully be pulled out of poverty is education. Although this is a small amount of money, if it means keeping a talented teacher for a year, every dollar is worth it. These kids are worth everything we can give them. They are smart, hard-working and ambitious. Help us to give them the support they need to be successful, happy people.
