Friends and Family! We are excited to announce that we are adopting soon. We are finishing the final touches of our home study paperwork this month and are moving forward with hiring Christian Adoption Consultants to walk us through our adoption journey. . A typical US adoption can take 2-3 years or more. By hiring CAC, the wait time averages 6-10 months. They help to facilitate connecting you with multiple adoption agencies verses choosing just one agency. They have served over 3000 families in their adoption journeys since 2006.  We have had many friends recommend them over the years and we are excited to take this next step. With taking this next step of faith forward, we could potentially have a new baby in our home in 2020 or early 2021. We are beyond excited to open our hearts and home, growing our family through adoption. . At this point of the journey, we need the help of those around us, our friends, family, church family and any one else that has a heart stirring to help fund adoptions. To hire CAC, the cost is $4655. . Once we are selected by a birth mom, there will be additional costs to facilitate the adoption, paid to the adoption agency the birth mom went through. When that time comes, we will update this fundraiser. . Long before Adam and I were even married, we were making plans for our future family to be one grown through adoption. One of our first times sitting down together, asking the deal breaker questions before we began dating, we both asked each other about adoption. We were so happy to find out that we both shared the passion and dream to adopt children one day. Fast forward, 11 years since that conversation, we are moving forward and making that dream into a reality. . We have a unique calling to have a large family grown both biologically and through adoption. Parenting/family is our passion and we love every minute of it, even the hardest of days. There is always GRACE! We are so excited to step into the waters of adoption and open our home to the children God would choose to be our own. . For years, while counting the heads of my children, I get this overwhelming sense that someone is missing. It happens quite often. As I’ve processed these emotions with the Lord, I sense He has put a longing in me for the children He wants to put in our family through adoption. I can’t hardly wait to meet them because I’ve sensed their absence for years! .
