Help Me Bring Hope Through Haircuts — Support My Trip with Hair Aid to Cambodia

This July, I’ll be returning to Cambodia for my 3rd volunteer project with Hair Aid, an incredible organization dedicated to changing lives in communities living in critical poverty.

Hair Aid works with individuals who have little to no means of survival — including those in jail, survivors of sex trafficking, orphaned children, and people living on the streets. Many are forced to scavenge in dump sites or collect recyclables to earn less than $1 USD a day, often turning to prostitution or drugs simply to survive and feed their families.

Hair Aid works with local groups for a life-changing solution: teaching haircutting skills that open the door to sustainable income and independence. In just five days, participants learn five essential haircuts and are equipped with the tools and knowledge to start their own micro-business. Graduates receive a full hairdressing kit — including scissors, combs, clips, capes, and more — so they can begin working the very next day.

To date, Hair Aid has trained over 6,500 individuals, giving them more than just a skill — it gives them dignity, hope, and a way out of poverty.

I had the privilege of joining the project last 2years in Siem Reap, and it has truly been some of the most impactful and inspiring experiences of my life. Seeing firsthand how education can uplift entire families was life-changing — and I’m so proud to be part of it again.

This time, I need your help to get there.
