We have created a thriving and vibrant community and now it’s time to create our home! Your donations will help us create the Hair Together Academy that our community deserve. All funds raised will support our fit out costs.

Hair Together, established in 2020, is a global award winning and nationally recognised social enterprise that offers hairdressing and barbering training alongside personal development programs. Our main focus is on young people with challenging backgrounds and people that have experienced prison.

In our country, there is a pressing youth mental health crisis, with many young people lacking the necessary skills for a well-balanced and successful life. This challenge becomes even more daunting for those growing up in socially deprived areas or facing complex circumstances.

Having grown up in Ballymun, our founders intimately understand the challenges faced within our own community. With our lived experience, strong roots, and deep commitment, we possess the ability to cultivate and expand a program that teaches essential life skills in an innovative and dynamic way. Our comprehensive career pathways encompass training, mentorship, job placement assistance, and ongoing support. To date, we have had 192 participants complete our programs. Our own premises will provide a base from which participants can start and grow their careers, fostering a positive environment for the Hair Together community to connect and support one another on an ongoing basis.
