Hey! My name is Jagger Joseph, and I am a 16-year-old high school student from Manhattan, New York. I founded Hair4Care in memory of my mother Revital Joseph, inspired by my personal connection to the struggles faced by cancer patients. When I was 9, I lost my mom to cancer. Since then, five other women in my family have battled the disease, some of whom have passed away. We share a BRCA gene that has shaped our lives and inspired me to take action.

I noticed that whenever one of the women in my family experienced hair loss due to cancer, getting a wig helped empower them and restore their dignity during such a challenging time. It made a significant difference in their confidence and sense of normalcy. However, I also realized that wigs are expensive, and not everyone battling cancer can afford one, especially when faced with overwhelming medical expenses. Hair4Care was born from a desire to bridge that gap.

In partnership with CancerCare, Shani Wigs, and my father’s chain of salons, Valery Joseph Salon, I work to restore and customize donated wigs, help patients personalize their own wigs, and raise funds to provide wigs for those who cannot afford them. I also aim to create moments of care and joy by offering free salon services to cancer patients, giving them a space to relax and feel supported.

Through Hair4Care, I hope to honor my mom’s legacy and bring comfort to others facing similar challenges. This journey is my way of ensuring that no one fighting cancer feels alone or unsupported, while also helping to restore their lost dignity.
