Frozen Embryo Transfer

Matt and I have been with Shady Grove Fertility for over three years now. We have gone through multiple attempt cycles starting with the very basic all the way up to the most invasive. Our insurance only covers three IVF attempts per live birth and we are almost at our limit.

Frozen Embryo Transfers (FET) are much less expensive than a full retrieval cycle. Many people opt to pay for an FET cycle rather than use an insurance attempt so that the insurance attempts can be saved for the retrieval cycles.

Our last cycle was an FET and it resulted in a pregnancy. Unfortunately we miscarried at six weeks.

At this time, we have one insurance attempt remaining and we have two frozen embryos. We still aren't sure if we will transfer one embryo or two on this cycle, but we do know that we want to pay for it so that we can save our last insurance cycle for retrieval if we end up needing it.

Due to the most recent unsuccessful attempt, we are taking a break from treatment to heal and to raise the funds we need for the next cycle. We are asking our friends and family that this year, instead of Christmas gifts you contribute here. Thank you for your love and support!
