Hagerstown Skate Park Fund

Our community desperately needs a skatepark for all styles of riding. We have a large group of action sports enthusiasts  that are skating in dangerous areas of town and damaging public property due to the lack of a skatepark, our goal is to change this.

There is an existing committee working with city employees and council members to make the longtime dream of having a skatepark in town become a reality.

There are many things to figure out and processes we'll have to get through to make it happen, but we're determined to push through all of it for as long as we need to to get this park built.

One of the biggest obstacles of course is money. Hagerstown and the surrounding areas will be using this park, which means it will need to be a big one to accommodate all.  The larger the park, the higher the price tag. 

We'll be proposing our plan to the City Council December 1st. Once approved we'll begin applying for different grants and sponsorships to raise the bulk of the money, however, going into the Council proposal with any amount already raised by the community will heavily strengthen our case that this is needed and that we all want it.
