Hi, we’re Claire & Nikita, Hades’ family !

Unfortunately Hades has suddenly become unwell and we have had a large amount of expensive vet bills in a short amount of time. We have been to vet 3 times in the past 7 days plus an additional 2 days in the emergency room.

We have taken out a loan of $3000 with our vet to help, but don’t qualify for any more with them or the specialist vets. He has been unable to urinate properly and has blood in his urine. Hades is currently on lots of medication to keep him comfortable until they are able to identity what is going on. X-rays and ultrasounds have proven to come up with nothing. A CT scan is what is next up, but the estimate is $5000-$10,000 and that feels like an impossible amount of money at a tricky time. We are getting him fixed at the beginning of March to try and help with further complications. Anything helps, and we only want help if you can comfortably do so.

UPDATE: we have an ultrasound booked with a specialist at WAVES, and they are hopeful that will show us what is causing the inflammation.
