Volunteering in Tanzania

Hi everyone!

Our names are Aoife and Emma, and we are two student nurses. We are so excited to share that we’ll be heading to Tanzania this summer for four weeks starting on the 18th of May. While we are there, we will be volunteering with the organization PMGY!

We will be volunteering in the Childcare Programme, supporting local children through education, play, and emotional care. As future nurses, we’re passionate about helping others and this experience will allow us to bring love, energy, care and compassion to a community that needs it.

We hope to share what we've learned in our nursing studies by helping to promote inclusion, independence, and positive social interaction with the children we engage with.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to gain hands-on experience that will broaden our perspectives on life. It will help us grow as future nurses by improving our adaptability and help us develop our critical thinking skills in new situations.
