Help for the Homeless in LA

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sid.  I have been homeless more than once...  The first in my early teens to escape domestic violence.

Nationally, up to 50% of all homeless women and children become homeless as a direct result of escaping domestic violence.  And approximately 50% of homeless men in the US are veterans.

Homelessness can happen to anyone.  It is scary, cold and lonely.

I volunteer with the Khalsa Peace Corp in Los Angeles.  We provide hot food (burritos) freshly prepared on the Share A Meal Truck along with water to the homeless of Venice Beach, Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.

But I would like to do more.   I have been raising money to buy socks, blankets and hygiene kits for as many homeless as possible.
$1 can provide a clean warm pair of socks for someone.
$2 can provide socks and a hygiene kit.
  $5 can provide a blanket.

Please give what you can.  $5, $10, $20, $50?  What would it mean to those you could help??
