Bring Tina's girls HOME
Donation protected

I am Tina Isenhower and I've been a missionary in Haiti for 31 years, serving my Lord. After the earthquake in Jan 2010, I was blessed with 3 little girls, Rosie, Daphne, and Abrella (Abby). These three were taken in during the chaos of the quake. They were abandoned and dying of hunger. Our mission was already overextended with children, but I simply could not let these girls die by the roadside, as so many others in the region had.
Since we had no room at the mission for them to stay, I brought them into my bedroom along with 3 cribs and we nursed them back to health. As you might expect I quickly fell hopelessly in love with them.
Now after nearly 5 years, these little girls have become my family. In recent months I have had to return to the US due to health issues. I have had 2 eye surgeries in the past 18 months to save as much of my sight as possible. I am currently legally blind in one eye, with recurring issues with the other. After the sever earthquakes and 3 hurricans over a 5 year period in Haiti, I have seen horrible human misery, feared for my own life and the lives of those around me to the point of falling into a Post Traumatic Stress condition and so have had to move back to my home in the States. Thankfully I am starting the road to recovery. My three girls now 6 years old are still at my mission home in Haiti and we miss each other greatly. I skype with them weekly and it is a joy to see them and hear them, but likewise it is heartbreaking when they ask "Momie when are you coming home?" I can't wait to be together with them again, and I have started proceedings to adopt all three. Abby, Daphne and Rosie have grown up together as sisters and my daughters. I now have legal guardianship of the girls and am finalizing adoption proceedures. These activities and getting the girls home with me in the States is overwhelming financially for myself on a missionaries salary. I ask that you seek guidance from the Lord, as I have all these years, and if you find it in your heart to give a donation, know that it is greatly appreciated and heart warming to my family and I.
Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it (provide food and shelter), to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me. Matthew 25:45.
