No child should go hungry..

Hi,my name is Aysha and I'm fundraising to support families in my local area. My aim is to pay for school dinners for any children who are too " wealthy " according to our politicians to qualify yet their parents are struggling on a daily basis.. Parents are forced to choose between keeping the house warm and putting food on the table! This shouldn't be happening in 2024 .. I would love to be able to pay for some after school activities as well. And with Christmas fast approaching to make sure families have warm food and gifts for their children. I am truly grateful for your generosity and support with this fundraiser. And incredibly we are just a corner away from reaching my set target. With that in mind I would like to post an update. With Christmas just around the corner myself and Mr Finch who is the school cllr in my son's school we discussed what would be the best way too support our families during this difficult time. Majority of donations will be used immediately to purchase asda giftcards ( our local supermarket) for various amount which will be donated to 12 families along with food parcels hygiene parcels and Christmas gifts which we've managed to collect. The rest will be kept by the school as an emergency funds to help with emergencies. I will be personally responsible for withdrawal of donations and purchase of gift cards and Mr Finch will collect them once we have all the parcels ready. Some of these like the hygiene parcels will be prepared in my house by myself and my kids and Mr Finch will then collect them from my house. Mr Finch from our Someries junior school in luton identified families who will receive donations. I don't know their names as this information is confidential ,and I am not employed by the school. I am just a mum on a mission who is trying to make a difference and put smile on children's faces Once again I would love to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated, you are making difference
