In loving memory of Heidi wood.
This year we sadly lost someone very close to us, Heidi Wood, who bravely faced bowel cancer.
Not only a best friend to my mum, but also a loving wife to Daryl, a mother and grandmother and friends to many others. Heidi lit up every room up she walked into with her bubbly, kind self, and never failed to make someone laugh. She had the biggest smile out of everyone and all these things made her the special person she was, and it truly is a pleasure to be able to have known her❤️
The friendship Heidi had with my mum was truly beautiful and special; sadly that got taken away far too soon, and if love could have saved her she would’ve lived forever.
Heidi has a special place in all our hearts.
On the 10th November myself and Luke will be doing a skydive, and in honour of Heidi we have decided to raise money for Pendle side hospice, to help others who need it the most just like Heidi did. Any donations will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to not just me but a lot of other people who loved Heidi as much as I did.
Pendleside Hospice provides care and support to people in the Burnley & Pendle area that have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. This is where Heidi stayed and they provided a high quality of care for her, ensuring she was comfortable, they were so great to her and to be able to give something back to them would mean so much.
Bowel cancer is becoming more and more common and this is why it’s important to spread awareness and try to prevent lives being lost due to unnoticed symptoms or leaving it too late.
Even the littlest of donations go a long way and by supporting this we can help provide care for others.
Nothing can ever replace Heidi and we all continue to miss her deeply but through this fundraiser we can honour Heidi’s memory in a meaningful way, and give something back to the charity who tried their best to save her.
Heidi will be forever in our hearts❤️
