On November 10th, Myle, a bright and talented cheerleader at Struthers Middle School and an honor roll student, was involved in a tragic car accident. She was life-flighted to Akron Children’s Main Hospital, where she is now fighting for her life.
Myle suffered a skull fracture, a brain bleed, and a stroke. She is currently sedated and on a ventilator. Her journey has already been incredibly difficult. One surgery has been performed to reconstruct her trachea, which was severely damaged in the accident and by the ventilator.
Unfortunately, her fight is far from over. She will need another surgery on her throat, weeks on a ventilator, and potentially additional procedures if complications arise. Once stabilized, Myle will require extensive rehabilitation to recover from her traumatic brain injury and the effects of the stroke.
Myle’s future is uncertain, but she is a fighter. Her mom, Kristen, has stayed by her side through every moment of this unimaginable journey, refusing to leave her. She is doing everything she can to support Myle, but the financial challenges are overwhelming.
Kristen does not qualify for FMLA due to not being at her current nursing position long enough, and short-term disability does not apply to this situation. With lost wages, and the expenses of Myle’s care and long-term rehabilitation, they need your help.
Myle's mom is making tremendous sacrifices to be by her side. With lost wages, however, she is struggling to cover basic necessities like rent, car payments, food, and insurance.
Myle is a fighter! As a cheerleader, she spreads positivity and encouragement. As an honor roll student, she demonstrates her dedication and determination in everything she does. Now, Myle needs us to rally around her!
How will your money be spent? Your generous donations will go directly towards helping to ease the financial strain on Myle's mom during this time. Obviously, there is a lot of expense that will come from hospital bills, but first and foremost, will be helping to replace the lost wages. That will give Myle's mom, Kristen, the peace of mind to stay by her side while she needs her the most!
Please consider donating and sharing Myle’s story with others. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, we would be so grateful if you would simply share this post.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, and support as we fight alongside Myle.❤️
