Hello, my name is Beth and I have known Jon and Ann Patterson going on a year! Jon is a veteran of the United States Army- MOS Infantry for 7 years. Jon has traveled and went to war during the Operation Iraq Freedom for 15 months. He has traveled and lived in Germany, Iraq, California, Washington, and now lives in Michigan. Jon and Ann have been married for 10 years and have 3 beautiful children, Katie, Lucas, and Ava. They have the most uncoditional love for their children!
The transition to civilian life has not been easy since Jon has been out of the military. They have been through living in a hotel, to dead end jobs, to finally movng into a home to start over and make new memories. Jon works as hard as he can to provide for his family, attends college full time, but still struggles to make ends meet. They have 1 car which makes it really hard for Ann to find a job because they can not afford a 2nd car. Ann is a stay at home mom who does an amazing job!!!
Recently Jon has not made enough money to pay their bills, along with their rent. With an eviction notice they have to come up with 2,000 dollars by November 28, 2016, or they have to move and have no where to go. Jon has called the VA to get help and assistance, but they keep getting denied or turned away! As a neighbor and a friend, no military family should go through what they are going through! My heart breaks to see them struggle. They are the most loving, caring, generous, and kindest family I have ever met. Jon has left his family, and fought for our countries rights and our freedom as Americans!! They are a speical family and I feel God has put them in my life for a reason for me to meet them and become friends with them!
After watching them go through everything and witnessing them fight for help, I am turning to all of you to help this wonderful family! My goal is to raise 3,000 dollars by November 28, 2016, so they can pay what they owe in rent and to have extra to pay for December's rent so they can give their children a Christmas with what little they have! Tis the season of giving and I am not asking for much but a simple 5 to 10 dollar donation. Anything right now will help!
Please help me reach this goal to help a Veteran's family!!
Happy Hoildays and God Bless!!
