A dear friend of mine and her four children are facing a heartbreaking crisis that no family should ever have to go through. After doing everything right, after sacrificing and working for years to build a safe home for their family, they are now at risk of losing everything — including the stability they fought so hard to give their children.

For the past few years, she has been in a rent-to-own agreement with someone she trusted deeply. Over time, she paid him more than $90,000 toward purchasing the home she believed would be their forever home — a place chosen with her children’s unique needs in mind.

This move wasn’t just a financial decision.
It was about family, safety, and giving vulnerable children a stable foundation.

Their youngest child, baby Jayden, had just been adopted. They needed a home quickly so he would never have to enter the system again. Their 9-year-old son is autistic and needs space to move, stem, and feel calm without constant complaints from neighbors — a problem they struggled with in their previous townhouse. Their 8-year-old and their 17-year-old (who is graduating this year!) were finally settling into an environment where they felt safe and grounded.

This home was supposed to be their chance to breathe again.
A fresh start.
A forever home.

Despite warnings from others to be cautious, she trusted the person selling the home — someone she believed was her friend. But instead of honoring the agreement, he sold the house out from under them, taking their money and leaving the family with nothing.

They contacted attorneys, they called the police — but because the house was still in his name, she was told the situation was “legal,” even though they had a signed contract. She is still fighting through the legal process, but right now, what matters most is keeping her children safe and housed.

She has already found a new home that approved her application, but she needs help with the $3,000 move-in cost so they can avoid homelessness and prevent any risk of losing the baby they just adopted.

What your support will help with:
• Move-in deposit and first month’s rent
• Basic moving costs
• Emergency essentials for the kids during this transition

This is a strong, loving mother who has worked tirelessly to give her kids stability. She never asked for handouts — she believed she was investing in a home for her children’s future. Now, she just needs a temporary lifeline.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings this family closer to safety, stability, and the chance to rebuild what was taken from them. Even sharing this fundraiser helps more than you know.

Thank you for showing compassion, kindness, and solidarity during the hardest moment of their lives. ❤️
