COVID Relief for India
Hi, my name is Mahesh, and I am a freshman at Crescenta Valley High School, CA. I learn Indian Carnatic Music, enjoy playing chess and competing in chess tournaments.
Over the past few weeks, India has been hit with another severe wave of COVID-19 outbreak. India is running short on many supplies such as Oxygen Containers and Ventilators. They need all the help they can get to procure these lifesaving supplies.
For COVID relief, I am planning to conduct the following events:
1) Charity "Beat Covid" Chess Tournament - Saturday, May 22nd, 2 PM. Play Simul with Woman Grandmaster Tatev Abrahamyan.
2) Solo Carnatic Music concert singing healing songs - Saturday, June 5th - 6 to 7 PM PST.

I would like to invite you all to come to my music recital session and also participate in this Chess simul against Woman Grandmaster Tatev Abrahamyan. I am planning to send the collected donations to two different efforts:
1. Mission Oxygen https://www.missionoxygen.org/ organization that procures and provides Oxygen Concentrator to hospitals in Uttra Pradesh, Delhi and around. I chose this mission as they have gained the trust from the public by collecting funds, and procuring and distributing the needful supplies, especially the Oxygen Concentrators, through a transparent, verifiable, and accountable channel. 2. Also, I am happy to partner with Solar Village Foundation organization which is collecting funds to install MEDICAL OXYGEN GENERATOR AND STORAGE UNIT at Karaikudi Government Hospital in Sivagangai district, Tamil Nadu. It is a self sustaining unit that can generate Oxygen for up to 20 patients at a time. Thanks to Dr. Nachi Narayanan for providing the opportunity to help with this effort.
