Hello I'm Mishi Resian Maloba from Ngong Kenya a little south of Nairobi. We were able to help provide water, a bore hole, to the village shown here a few years ago. Now we have found the need for water in several other villages in Kenya and are currently exploring the need for water in Tanzania. Having water completely changes these villages that have been journeying for water daily. But it is so much more than just water. This impacts daily life by highly reducing the rate of domestic abuse, sexual assaults, and death to the women of these villages. Kenya is still a misogynistic society especially in these villages. Women often have to walk 20 Kilometers (12.5 miles) for water and sometimes twice a day. If their husband arrives at the home/hut at the end of the day and dinner is not done or some things have not gotten attended to due to the wife having to go walking twice for water that day, they could very well get beaten. Where the women have to journeying for water is not often down a road but a path through the country side. Men know this and wait for the women, and they periodically get sexually assaulted. In addition while journeying through the country side for water from time to time they are attacked and killed by wild animals.

One more thing these bore holes also provide recreation for the children. We are asking if you can help in any amount to help make a difference and huge impact in the lives of these people. We have people, volunteers, that we know personally to facilitate operations and ensure that All monies got into the projects and the projects only.
