Bring Callie Home
Donation protected
Our journey to adoption began before we even realized it as a possibility. Chris and I dreamed of a large family and when Riley was born we celebrated as all new parents do. But as her life progressed it was rift with constant medical appointments. As our village, you walked with us as we learned of her medical diagnosis of Hurlers Syndrome and her need for a bone marrow transplant. But what many of you might not know is that we have a 25% risk with every pregnancy of having another child with this same disease. Brady was a surprise and a gift and luckily does not have this genetic condition.
Still, we knew our family was not complete. So after prayer, research and lots of discussion we determined that adoption was the right path for us. In December, after a long and emotional 4.5 years, we received the call every adoptive family yearns for - we were matched! She is a precious little girl from Taiwan and her name is going to be Callie Grace. Her photo is framed and we pray over her and for her every night as a family. Riley and Brady talk often of their new little sister and constantly ask when we finally get to bring her home. We hope she will be here before Christmas if not sooner. Right now we are not allowed to share her picture publicly but as soon as we can we will. We know you will fall in love with her just as we have.
Callie turns 3 years old today - April 24! We could not think of a better way to celebrate her sweet life than to finish the fundraising process to be able to bring her home to her forever family. We would greatly appreciate your financial support as we work towards finalizing our funding.
Thank you for continuing to walk with our family and being the most incredible village.
