Hi everyone, my name is Jada. I’m raising funds to help my family and community in Negril, Jamaica, who’ve been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. The storm has torn through our area — flooding homes, tearing off roofs, and leaving many of us unsure what we’ll come back to once it passes. This is my first time witnessing a category 5 hurricane with my own eyes.
This has been terrifying to watch and live through. Jamaica is my heart, and it’s hard seeing the place I love so much being torn apart by wind and rain. When the storm subsides, I’ll be doing everything I can to pick up the pieces — getting groceries, clean water, and supplies, and helping repair parts of the house that might have been destroyed.
Any help means the world right now. Your support will go directly toward rebuilding — not just for me, but for others in my area who are struggling too. Even the smallest donation can help us take one step closer to feeling safe and whole again.
Thank you for caring, for sharing, and for helping us hold on to hope through this storm.
— Jada
