Local Family Loses Home and Beloved Cat Before Xmas

"Hello... I never in my life thought I would have to make this message. My family lost our home in a bad fire yesterday afternoon. We don't have access yet to see what can be salvaged. I will be arranging to give out refunds to everyone who has ordered Santa Letters. I'm so sorry about this." Is the message I got on Friday.

You see, Jodi-Lynn has been writing my son's custom Santa letters for the last few years now. She does a beautiful job. Prints on beautiful paper, customizes each letter to each kiddo she writes to and mails each letter out with a beautiful wax stamp. It's worth double what she charges to do it. The look on your kiddos face while reading these letters is worth her weight in gold.

Thursday, December 12th in the afternoon Jodi-Lynn, her husband Justin and 3 year old son Isaac Bouchard lost their home in Varna, Ontario just days before Christmas. To top it all off they lost their kitty cat George in the blaze.

When I reached out to see what her family needed she was very reluctant for help, however I couldn't do nothing for someone who brings so much joy this time of year to my and many other local kiddos. Nothing in the home was salvadgable. They lost everything.

We're a wicked community. I know we can make this young families Christmas SO much better. J-L was more worried about giving the Santa letter money back... the day after losing their home... than asking for help. Says a lot about the beautiful person she is. I can't just do nothing for her.
