Support the Hall Family

Doug Hall recently lost his wife Brittany during childbirth with their second child. We would like to help support Doug and his two children as they face the future without their beloved mom and wife. Newborn Ben is still receiving some extra love in the hospital with Doug and Sabil by his side. We can’t begin to take the hurt from losing Brittany away, but we can try and lighten the financial burden for Doug and his family during this time.
Doug is a fellow Stroller Warrior who has been a member of several chapters. He has held different volunteer positions both at the chapter and global levels, always looking to be involved when he can. Now a member of our virtual chapter, we love seeing pictures of him and his mini Warrior Sabil as they tackle miles and adventures together. In every SW chapter and corner of the globe, it is apparent how much Doug loves his family and encourages others. We are grateful for Doug’s contribution to our running club and want to show him how much his SW family is behind him as he faces this new chapter in life.

MAJ Brittany Hall was an exemplary wife, mother, friend, Soldier, and nurse/nurse practitioner who greeted everyone with a smile. She was vibrant, intelligent, professional - I was honored to have been her classmate throughout our Doctorate program and even luckier to have her as my battle buddy at our first duty station as new graduate providers. In such a short period of time, Brittany, Doug, and Sabil became established family members of the GLWACH Primary Care department (...so did Doug's frequently homemade baked goods that he spoiled us with). Brittany's personality and daily work truly reflected everything military medicine should be: being passionate in providing compassionate care to service members and their families.
Despite the throes of chaotic clinic life, she prioritized her family and always found ways to spend meaningful time with them every day. Her passing is not only a catastrophic loss to her loving family/friends, but keenly felt by those who knew her at GLWACH, Uniformed Services University, and those who worked alongside her over her career. In the end, there are not enough words to capture how much she will be missed. Please help us support Doug as he navigates life ahead with Sabil and baby Ben, but unexpectedly without his best friend and soul mate.
