My Name is Ben and I have recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastic melanoma, with treatment we are looking at a minimum of 12 months, if cancer responds.

I am a stay-at-home Dad to my 7-year-old daughter with my lovely wife who is a secondary school science Teacher. I also have two children to a previous marriage 28 and 26. Of whom I would like to leave some money too for house deposits.

The main reason for the fund raising other than my eldest children's deposits, is either to pay of our modest home or, at very least replace the asbestos walls. And repair the rotting/leaking attached garage roof. To ease there burden financially and, to give my younger daughter a fair start with a single working mother.

I am also a returned serviceman. Serving in 4RAR (Commando) in East Timor 2001. Serving in the Australian Army from 1996 - 2008 in the infantry and special forces.
