GURMAD (Urgent Appeal For Afgoye Rape Victims)
This campaign is targeted towards fundraising for the medical treatment of the two girls aged 3 and 4 years old who were severely raped and tortured all afternoon and night by multiple men after being abducted from near their home in Afgoye, Somalia. The children were being tirelessly searched for and were finally found laying on the ground with little life left in them by family.
The doctor’s of the girls have stated that the children require drastic and major surgery and future medical attention as the extremely violent rape by the men caused children’s private areas to be torn apart, along with other damages including their tongues being angrily bitten when trying to call out for help.
The parents and family of the girls have publicly requested financial assistance as they are a very poor farming family that has little finances aside from their most basic living. Somalia depends on the financial assistance of the Somali diaspora that lives abroad and regularly sends money to those in need within the country.
This platform will be a united effort by Somali diaspora members to collect the needed funds for 3 and 4 year old girls who were severely raped, abducted, and mercilessly tortured, and now need emergency medical care.
