Cycling Land’s End to John O’Groats in 11 days
Donation protected
Dear all,
We are thrilled to share that a team of The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers is currently embarking on one of the most remarkable cycling adventures, a 1000-mile cycling journey, Land’s End to John O'Groats (LEJOG), commonly known as End to End, from October 31st to November 11th. This event will test personal fitness, leadership, and mental resilience and anticipate a strenuous, arduous, and lifetime experience.
With this incredible challenge, we are inspired to make a meaningful contribution and express our deep gratitude to the Gurkha Veterans, their families and communities in remote parts of Nepal, who paved the way for their loyal service to the British Crown. Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of The Queen's Gurkha Engineer (QGE) this year, since its birth in 1948, we are celebrating the significant milestone by organising various activities. We are choosing this challenge to justify and to match their challenges back in the days, as such, giving back to them to support those Gurkha Veterans and their communities in Nepal, especially those QGE Veterans who are unable to come to Pokhara to celebrate its milestone due to lack of financial support.
Your generous support will help us to tackle our journey through arduous conditions, wet, cold and windy weather and through bendy, narrow, up and downhill roads. Your small contribution will help those veterans reach out to Pokhara and be part of their 75 Years of journey. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read; we would greatly appreciate it if you could spread the word about this fundraising event to the broader network.
