Guinness World Record Attempt - Benefiting Oregon Jr. Golf

Join Chad Fribley and Tasha Garma in an effort to raise money for Oregon Jr. Golf.

On May 13, 2024, Chad and Tasha will each be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the most birdie made in 12 hours. The record attempt will take place at Persimmon CC in Gresham, Or. This record attempt will run in conjunction with the PGA of Americas 100 holes of golf fundraisers being held across the country.

With both Chad and Tasha being golf instructors that teach and work with Jr. golfers, they wanted to find a way to give back to Jr. golf while at the same time trying to inspire future golfers.

Chad is from Tualatin, Or and grew up playing OGA Jr. Golf events. He credits his father Phil and the OGA for helping to get him started in golf competitions. It is events like these that led him to a career in golf, that has included work as a PGA professional, playing professionally and traveling the world. His father Phil, was a long time OGA volunteer. Now Chad teaches golf at Persimmon CC and enjoys giving back to the game.

Tasha Garma grew up in Clackamas, Oregon but did not start playing until age 16. She started teaching golf in Hawaii in 2006 before moving back to Oregon in 2014 where she continues teaching at Sah-Hah-Lee golf course. Tasha has always had a passion for helping people achieve their goals, especially kids. During her teaching career Tasha has been lucky enough to work with top level jr.s, Collegiate athletes and even a Major golf Champion. While she herself missed out on the junior golf experience, it is one of her goals to expose this incredible game to as many youngsters as possible.
