Tour Guides in Need
Dear Travel Family -
It has come to our attention that a crisis is unfolding amongst our group of tour guides that we contract for our various tours around the world.
If you’ve ever been on a MAHOGANY VACATIONS adventure - you realize the importance that our local guides play in the overall outcome of your vacation experience. Our local guides, filled with personality - put the finishing touches on a well planned trip.
Most of these guides are independent contractors that earn money with each tour they give. That’s how they make their living. However, since the start of this global pandemic, global tourism has come to a complete halt and with it the ability for our guides to make money - feed, clothes and house themselves and their families.
In all the years MAHOGANY VACATIONS has been in business, there has never been a time, like we see today. These are tough times for everyone in the tourism industry but our focus is making sure the tour guides we know and love - don’t fall between the cracks. In most of these countries where they live - there is no stimulus package. Until the pandemic is behind us - and travel bans are lifted, our guides will continue to have zero income. This is going to lead to people struggling to buy food.
We believe hunger will represent a greater challenge for each of our guides.
We know that you, like us, are going through incredibly challenging times but anything you could spare to help our group of guides would be greatly appreciated. Every penny raised will go towards the survival needs of our family of tour guides around the world.
We are asking for donations in the amount of either $100 / $50 or $25.
If you can give more then by all means please do so - and if you can only give less - then remember no amount is to small. All Donations in any amount are appreciated.
We had planned on making these donations ourselves, but several members of our travel family have expressed an interest in wanting to help and suggested we create this GoFundMe page so those wanting to give would be able to contribute as well.
