Things are not getting better, on the contrary. Europe is letting refugees freeze to death at the Polish border, building high-security prisons for those seeking protection on Greek islands, and is not even trying to cover up the illegal pushbacks anymore. People who have arrived in Germany are put into inhumane camps and get harassed by the asylum and immigration bureaucracy. One way to fight these murderous structures is to share housing. What the German state wants to prevent - namely self-determination, contacts to the outside, a perspective for refugees and migrants - we as a network of solidarity can at least try to organize from below.
That is why the Schlafplatzorga arranges sleeping places for refugees and migrants in Berlin. At the moment there are not enough offers and many people have to sleep on the street, which is unbearable in these weather conditions, or in emergency shelters, which is also very stressful and people have to leave early in the morning.
So if you live in Berlin and have a free couch or bed to offer, please write to us at the address below.
You can also help us with a monetary donation. Even a few Euros mean a lot to us! This way we can help some of the refugees to pay rent for a room. If you can support us but don't have a credit card, just write an email to the following address and we will tell you our account number:

Mit unserer letzten Kampagne haben wir ca. 3000€ gesammelt, was uns erlaubt hat, mehreren Menschen in diesen besonders schwierigen Zeiten zu unterstützen.

Es wird nicht besser, im Gegenteil. Europa lässt Geflüchtete an der polnischen Grenze erfrieren, baut Hochsicherheitsgefängnisse für Schutzsuchenden auf griechischen Inseln und versucht nicht einmal mehr, die rechtswidrigen Pushbacks zu vertuschen. Menschen, die in Deutschland angekommen sind, werden in menschenunwürdige Lager gesteckt und von der Asyl- und Einwanderungsbürokratie schikaniert. Ein Weg, gegen diese mörderischen Strukturen anzukämpfen, ist Wohnraum zu teilen. Was der deutsche Staat verhindern will - nämlich Selbstbestimmung, Kontakte nach außen, eine Perspektive für geflüchtete und migrierte Menschen - können wir als solidarisches Netzwerk zumindest versuchen von unten zu organisieren.
Deshalb vermittelt die Schlafplatzorga Schlafplätze an Geflüchtete und Migrant*innen in Berlin. Im Moment gibt es nicht genügend Angebote, und viele Menschen müssen auf der Straße schlafen, was bei diesen Wetterbedingungen unerträglich ist, oder in Notunterkünften, was ebenfalls sehr stressig ist und die Menschen früh am Morgen aufbrechen müssen.
Wenn ihr also in Berlin lebt und eine freie Couch oder ein Bett anzubieten habt, schreibt uns bitte an die unten angegebene Adresse.
Ihr könnt uns auch mit einer Geldspende helfen. Schon ein paar Euro bedeuten uns viel! So können wir einen Teil der Geflüchteten dabei unterstützen, Miete für ein Zimmer zu bezahlen.
