Guatemala- Pathways out of Poverty
Hello to my friends near and far (and those I have not met yet). If we have not previously been introduced my name is Nikki Gabardi. I am a fellow human being whom over the years has experienced copious amounts of trauma and pain. It was during my darkest days that I realized the only way to get out of my mind and out of my own way was to stop focusing on myself and my own problems, and help another fellow human in need. As much as we may all feel isolated at times, reality is....none of us are alone. We all endure adversities and strife. Some more than others. Helping others gives a sense of purpose and compassion. It takes away from self loathing and brings us back together.
With that being said, I have been blessed with the opportunity
to travel abroad to the impoverished villages surrounding Lake Atlitlan, Guatemala with the humble and devoted non-profit organization Worthy Village. In August we will be heading to Guatemala to meet with woman and children, hear their stories, and gain better understanding as to how we can further impact their lives. We will be providing them with economic opportunities, free healthcare, and educational tools. The people of Guatemala suffer from not being able to access clean drinking water. Through and with Worthy Village I will be able to make this a reality with distribution of water filtration systems!! Water=Life
So here is where I am more asking kindly for your help. I will need to pay for my own travel expenses to make this happen. Between airfare and commuting costs I am unable to do this on my own! Also... I plan on receiving self hygiene donations for the village and will need to check multiple bags to transport such things. Please consider helping me and donating WHATEVER you have the means of donating. Thank you all so much and I look forward to bettering these women and children, myself, and humanity as a whole with your help!
Much Love,
Nikki Gabardi
