My name is Alvaro Ceron-Ruiz and I am a Guatemalan-American. My family and I are asking from the bottom of our hearts for donations to give to those affected by the tropical storm Eta in Guatemala. According to CNN, over 150 people are either missing or dead due to major landslides from the storm. This issue is close to me because it affected where most of my family resides including my grandparents. My own mother and her siblings faced an issue liked this when they were young with hurricane Mitch. My mom has told us of the terrifying experience it was and the fear of whether they would make it the next day. With the help of organizers, they were able to collect donations to transport people to safety. I hope you can find some sincerity and help me, help them accomplish this mission with this new devastation.  I personally will be traveling over there to help in any way possible. I plan to transfer the donations prior to my arrival so we may purchase resources like food, water, and covid masks to deliver to those deserted by flooding.
