Hey everyone,

I’ve been sitting with this for a while now. Asking for help is never easy; it’s a vulnerable place to be in. Truthfully, I’ve been struggling to financially support myself, especially after facing a housing crisis this past year and dealing with other challenges.

However, I’ve decided now is the time to reach out for support with my transition. It’s been a wild, emotional journey trying to rebuild my life, and I’ve realised it’s not something I can do alone.

A little about me — I’m a Bengali Trans Drag Artist based in South London. A lot of my creative journey started in Brighton, where I’ve been lucky enough to perform, lip-sync, host, gogo dance, DJ, and organise within our community. I’m endlessly grateful for the people around me — I truly wouldn’t be here without your love and support.

Currently, I’m fundraising to help cover the costs of laser hair removal and Facial Feminisation Surgery (FFS), both of which are essential steps in helping me feel more at home in my body.

I’m incredibly thankful to be receiving hormones through the NHS, but beyond that, access to other forms of gender-affirming care is challenging. As a Brown Trans girl, navigating this world and battling gender dysphoria daily is exhausting - even small things, like being unable to access free therapy, become huge barriers. These things should never be treated as a luxury, but as a birthright.

Transitioning while living under a government that is actively hostile towards trans people makes things even harder. From restrictions on hormones to delays with blood tests, everything feels like a fight. And in the middle of all this, I can’t ignore the wider injustices in the world — our government continues to be complicit in global atrocities and genocide. My heart is with the people of Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and all those across the world suffering under oppression. None of us are free until all of us are free.
