In Memory of Melinda Collins
Tax deductible
Please join HorrorHound in memorial of our beloved friend and HorrorHound Weekend Staff Member, Melinda Ford Collins, who passed on June 10th, 2019, due to a life-long battle with epilepsy. Melinda and her boundless spirit and love touched many peoples’ lives, and we wish to honor her by helping to raise awareness of the condition she lived with and funds to support research for a cure.
In tribute to Melinda, we have issued an official HorrorHound Purple Paw Lapel Pin for Epilepsy Awareness, which will go to the first 285 individuals who donate $25 or more. In addition, for higher dollar donations, we have other rare goodies (including a limited edition “Ribbon” version of the HorrorHound Purple Paw Lapel Pin for Epilepsy Awareness and even items like HorrorHound Weekend Staff Badges featuring art of Melinda with Memorial Lanyards (by Betty Pooch) as well as HorrorHound Weekend Staff T-shirts [Haunted Mansion themed in Melinda’s honor, thanks to her great love of Disney]). Please see information on the donation tiers below.
We began our fundraising campaign last September at HorrorHound Weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana, and are proud to report that our attendees helped us raise over $4,000. With the first anniversary of Melinda’s passing, we thought now was the right time to continue on, and we have hopes to raise over $10,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation in Melinda’s name. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since she left us physically, but someone like Melinda is never gone. She lives on through the many who loved her. Please help us to keep her giving spirit alive by participating in this fundraiser for epilepsy awareness.
Note: Rewards are limited to the numbers stated for each tier, and can only be shipped within the US. Once all the limits are met, we will not be able to provide rewards but encourage all to keep giving if you are able.
