Rider Family
Yesterday weighs heavy on my heart. I hear a lot of stories and while each story holds
its own personal weight and emotion- this story, truly reminds you how quickly life
can change. I know this is a hard time of
year for families- and circumstances are so different... but I want to share this story
because this is also the season of giving-
and if you can give... please do.
A beautiful family with 2 kids - one a 16 yr old boy and 14 yr old girl....hard working
dad 50 yrs old - he has worked
construction all his life and his wife works 2 jobs - one as a school lunch lady and in
retail to make ends meet.
November 18th day - the day before his
daughters 14th birthday he had a massive heart attack. He was life flighted that
evening to AGH due to the severity of
damage to his heart. He has been on a
ventilator and sedated since that day.
Unfortunately...because of ICU restrictions, his family can not see him and the last
time his wife was able to go was November 30th!
The damage is so severe there is little that can be done at this point.
They are so humble and kind and would
never ask for assistance. I know their life is filled with worry, fear, and sadness right
now. I know money won’t heal him- but the financial stress and worry is overwhelming.
This family would give the shirt off their
back to help anyone if they could. Please
