Trying to start a new life

Hello, everyone! First, let me formerly introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth, also called Liz or Lizzie by many. I'm currently 22 years old. I was hesitant to open up a GoFundMe, partially because I'm very embarrassed having to ask for money from people. But I'm afraid, I have no other choice now. For more context on why I opened this up : my mom and I live with my father, as well as my cat and dog. This household is extremely abusive, especially emotionally. My father has been making things very difficult for us, to the point it has affected both my mom and I very much. He is constantly threatening us in many different ways. It's a daily routine here almost and we really shouldn't have to deal with this. My mom and I, have been to a shelter for abused women 3 times before. First in 2018, then twice in 2019. All 3 times we've been failed as they've refused to help us and put the blame on us. Based on our experience we don't wanna go there anymore, as we feel it would not help us but create further harm in long-term. My poor mom has nobody to tend to, no family member that could help her as she grew up in an orphanage. She's been abused her entire life and continues to be by my father. To the point, she has developed a serious eating disorder, depression and PTSD. My mom's health is quite fragile. I, too suffer from this and have developed an eating disorder over the years as well as severe anxiety. I am currently searching for a job, although it has been difficult, because unfortunately due to my prior health issues, I wasn't able to graduate. I'm working on it though and wanna graduate as soon as I can. My mom and I have a plan of where we wanna move, all we need is a bit of financial support to start a new life (rent an apartment - since that's the thing we need the most help with currently)...please believe me, I feel incredibly humbled and embarrassed at the same time, having to do this. I do. But I'm worried for both my mom and I, because my dad is a heavy drinker who owns weapons too. And institutions made to help, don't help.
