The Lukins Family

Hi All! My name is Meg and I'm raising funds for the Lukins family.
On Wednesday, May 25th, Calvin Lukins was born and Rebekah and Tyson could not have been happier! Calvin came in at 8lbs and 21 inches and as cute as can be! His Auntie Ash already calls him "her little squish"!
Very late Wednesday night, things took a turn, and Calvin, Cal, became very sick. He had low oxygen, low glucose, and some serious heart issues that couldn't be treated at the hospital he was delivered. He needed to be transferred to Lurie's Children's hospital, about an hour from where they were. Unfortunately, Rebekah was not cleared to be discharged and Cal had to be taken to Lurie's without his parents. Rebekah and Tyson were only able to hold their baby for 8 hours before he was taken to Lurie's.
Luckily, Rebekah got discharged the following day and they quickly made their way to prepare for a longer stay at Lurie's, still about an hour from their home in Lombard, IL. As soon as Rebekah and Tyson arrived, Calvin started to show more positive signs, but doctors still have not been able to determine the cause of his heart condition. They are unsure how to help Cal recover quickly and unsure of the timeline of the hospital stay without a diagnosis.
So many people in Rebekah and Tyson's family and community have sent their love, prayers, and reached out for ways to help - they are beyond grateful! Rebekah and Tyson were able to secure short-term lodging at the Ronald McDonald house which also provides some meals. The best way to support them in this time of uncertainty is to collect funds for unexpected costs, such as medical bills, Tyson having to take additional time off work, and additional care supplies Cal might need when he is ready to go home. If you are able to support, no matter what amount, it would be so helpful at this time.
Please continue your prayers and sending love - it's working!
