Let me start by saying thank you from Zak and myself. We have gone back and forth on whether or not we should set this account up as we know everyone has their own things going on. However, we strongly believe in community and friends coming along and standing up/supporting you in the most challenging/darkest times.

Zak and I met in 2005. We were just friends and remained so until 2013, when we started dating. Zak asked me to be his wife in December 2014, and in October 2016, we tied the knot.

Life has been a blast for us, and we always discussed starting a family. We began trying to have a little one right after we got married but soon found out it was not going to be easy.

After nature failed to take its course, we sought medical assistance in early 2021. Tests were run, tubes flushed, and medication prescribed. We then began working with a fertility clinic in September of 2021, who ran yet more tests and discovered that planned intercourse and medication would be the most economical solution. After a few months of this, we decided to take a break from the “Crazy” medications and try Acupuncture. We are still with the acupuncturist but have not had any luck yet.

The next step from here is IVF treatment which in our case is 100% out of pocket as neither of our insurances covers it. While we are incredibly blessed to still have options that could help us conceive, as it stands right now, full cost wise it is out of our grasp. That is where we ask our family and friends that can help fill in the gaps that we cannot.
