Each year, 3-5 members of the USC student organization GlobeMed receive the opportunity to participate in a Grassroots On-Site Work (GROW) trip. Our chapter of GlobeMed at USC partners with the non-profit Care Net Ghana.
This year from May 19 - June 25, Morgan, Sonia, Priya, and myself will be travelling to Accra, Akatsi, and Hohoe, Ghana to work with Care Net on GlobeMed's 4th Grow trip. We will be conducting research concerning traditional birth attendants (midwives) and skilled birth attendants in the Volta Region of Ghana.
As you can probably imagine, the prices of flights are exorbitantly expensive and that is why we are here! Our final fundraising goal is $5,000 but please donate as much as you want, at your convenience.
