Myself and fellow cyclist John Penny will be travelling to the Pyrenees in Southern France this August bank holiday to attempt two grueling stages of the Tour de France including over 200km of mountain roads and TWICE up the infamous Col du Tourmalet summit, 2115m altitude or nearly 7000 feet! And we'll do it TWICE!! Why would anyone do something so punishing? Well it's all in aid of GROW, a wonderful mental health support organisation with a branch in Limerick. All monies raised will go to the Limerick branch of GROW to help them fund their fantastic work and outreach programmes, helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
