About Us

Grow and Glow is a dedicated female-only mental health support group founded from my personal journey through mental health challenges.

Last year, I experienced a significant breakdown, leading to a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. This required me to take a year off from work to focus on my recovery.

During this period, I recognized a critical lack of community-based mental health support, particularly for women, which inspired me to create Grow and Glow. The group has been running weekly sessions, since May 2024.

Our Mission

Grow and Glow aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where women can share their experiences, receive peer support, and participate in therapeutic activities. Currently, I am funding this group out of my own pocket because I firmly believe that mental health support should be accessible to all, regardless of their financial situation. The positive feedback we have received so far has been overwhelming, underscoring the importance and impact of this initiative.

Why We Need Your Help

To sustain and expand the services we offer, we are seeking fundraising to support several key areas:

- Room Rental: Covering the cost of room rental at Epsom Methodist Church.

- Therapeutic Activities and Materials: Funding for various therapeutic activities and materials.

- Outings and Special Events: Resources for organizing outings and special events for the group.

- Professional Facilitators: Hiring professional therapists and facilitators to provide expert guidance and support.

- Educational Workshops: Hosting workshops on mental health topics to empower and educate our members.

- Transportation Assistance: Providing transportation for members who may have difficulty attending due to mobility or financial issues.

- Marketing and Advertisement: To help us spread the word and reach as many women as possible.

- Refreshments: Ensuring that members have access to refreshments during meetings to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Our Vision
