Groupe SEB 3 Peaks Charity Challenge
Donation protected
Over the summer bank holiday (August 26th-28th 2019), 10 volunteers from Groupe SEB UK will be attempting the 3-peaks challenge to raise a total of £7,500 for 3 charities in our local community in and around Windsor, Berkshire:
· Thames Hospice
· SportsAble
· Camp Mohawk
Thames Hospice
Thames Hospice is a charity that provides expert care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire. They care for the physical, social and psychological needs of their patients. Services include therapy, nursing and medical care, as well as practical and emotional support. As they give so much vital support to families, we would love you to help them in being able to do so.
SportsAble
SportsAble is a registered charity that aims to promote awareness of disability through sport and recreation, particularly the integration of disabled and able-bodied people. They do a great job of providing sports facilities and opportunities for the physically and sensorially disabled in the south/ south east of England and thoroughly deserve donations for the fantastic work they carry out.
Camp Mohawk
Camp Mohawk is a multi functional day centre for children with special needs and their families, based in Berkshire. The centre provides a range of activities, facilities and space to encourage children with a variety of special needs to play, socialise and learn in a caring environment. Groupe SEB has volunteered for Camp Mohawk previously and have seen first-hand the amazing work they do.
The 3-peaks challenge is as adventurous as it is gruelling, with the tallest peaks in the UK having to be climbed within 24 hours: Scafell Pike (England), Snowden (Wales) and Ben Nevis (Scotland). Our 10 volunteers will be aiming to raise £750 each to hit our total target:
· Will Yates
· Caroline Ross
· Sonia Healy
· Matt Dunn
· Jack Williams
· André Silva
· Emma Watt
· Wei Sui
· Chloe Coley
· Frankie Chivers
We would appreciate any donations and support you are willing to give. The 3 charities we have chosen are more than deserving for their brilliant work they provide to our local community and we are honoured to be playing a role in helping them continue to carry out this work.
Thanks for your help and contribution!
